Lactation Consultation
A great first step into getting assistance for you and your child! This consultation helps the lactation consultant gather information, understand your needs, and create a personalized plan for you and your child. This consult service is also great for more in-depth/complex problems that require more time.
We'll start by assessing both you and your baby, observing a feeding session to evaluate latch and feeding behaviors. This includes weighing your baby before and after a feeding to see exactly how much your baby is transferring.
You’ll receive personalized tips to improve latch and positioning, making breastfeeding more comfortable for both of you.
Learn how to manage common issues like sore nipples or engorgement effectively.
Get advice to ensure your baby is getting enough milk, giving you peace of mind about their nutrition.
Together, we’ll develop a customized breastfeeding plan tailored to your specific needs and circumstances.
You’ll receive immediate support and answers to any questions, setting a solid foundation for a successful breastfeeding experience.
This consultation can also help identify and address more complicated issues, such as low milk supply, slow weight gain, painful latch, and many other concerns with nursing for baby and/or you.
